Bolts are complex mechaniclly engineered fastener, they are made using different matertials, different thread types(i.e. coarse, fine, extra fine, left or right hand threads, metric or SAE threads), various lengths, with grip or no grip (shank), different types(i.e. hex, carriage etc.), different coatings and multiple grades.
Material: stainless steel (i.e. 201 304 316 410 etc.), carbon steel , brass… Finishing: zinc plated, black oxide, dacromet, H.D.G, nickel plated
